Teach at the Beach 2026

The 2026 Teach at the Beach Workshop will be at the beautiful Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve (JC NERR) in Tuckerton, NJ. We hope you will join us for a day full of learning, networking and fun. The Coastal Education Center at the JCNERR has direct access to maritime forest habitat and salt marsh that overlook Great Bay.

The event will be on Friday, May 8 from 8:30 am-2:30 pm and includes a buffet lunch.

The program will have multiple sessions that are geared towards educators teaching grades 4-12+ in both formal and informal settings. Interactive presentations will be given by area experts and educators. Outdoors sessions will also be offered, pending the weather. Stay tuned for the list of sessions.

Space is limited, so don't delay to register!

Cost:

Early-bird fee (before April 10) $65 member, $90* non-member
Regular fee (after April 10) are $75 member and $100* non-member

*Registration for non-members/lapsed members includes a 1-year NJMEA membership.

Teach at the Beach is a rain or shine event so come dressed for the weather. Help us reduce plastic waste at the workshop by bringing a reusable water bottle with you. Bring a buddy! Please share this information with your colleagues.
